Philly SDS shuts down Philadelphia's largest Army recruitment office on a windy day!
We are the Philadelphia City Chapter of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). SDS is the largest youth and student led organization in the nation, with more than 120 chapters. We organize for student power to win change at schools and in communities. We build strong chapters and win campaigns through courageous nonviolent action.
Philadelphia Students for a Democratic Society is part of a movement to build a society free from violence. We want to build bridges between students, workers, and the Philadelphia community. We believe people should have control of the decisions that affect them, and so seek to create a city that truly belongs to the people of Philadelphia.
- We meet Sundays at 1pm, at Robin’s Books, 13th and Sansom Streets in Center City Philadelphia. It’s just a few blocks from the 13th Street SEPTA stop (Market-Frankford Line and trolleys) and the Walnut-Locust SEPTA stop (Broad Street Line). View map.
